Arma di Taggia

Arma di Taggia is the seaside centre of the municipality of Taggia on the Riviera dei Fiori, adjoining Sanremo. Its sandy beaches and waterfront promenade have attracted visitors since the late nineteenth century. The promenade leads through an urban landscape shaped by both maritime traditions and the development of tourism. The coastal cycle and pedestrian route provides another connection with neighbouring Riviera towns.

Villa Boselli, acquired by the municipality in 1958, houses cultural facilities, the civic library and the tourist information office. Piazza Tiziano Chierotti provides an outdoor setting for performances and public entertainment. At the western edge of the coastal landscape, near the boundary with Sanremo, the Annunziata sanctuary occupies a natural cave below a sixteenth-century fortification. These sites connect the resort's public spaces with the older religious and defensive history of the coast.
