College Station, TX

College Station's university setting supports a performing arts programme intended for both students and the Brazos Valley community. OPAS brings professional productions and artists to the Rudder Theatre Complex at Texas A&M University, offering music, theatre and dance within the campus. Its work connects visiting performers with an audience that includes university members and local residents, while volunteers contribute to the organisation's public life. This meeting of campus resources and community participation gives College Station a cultural role beyond its academic timetable. A touring production can become a shared occasion for people whose connections to the university take very different forms.
