The Stanislav Dospevski Art Gallery in Pazardzhik was established in 1963 as a department of the district museum. In 1966 it was joined with the house-museum of Stanislav Dospevski. Tsvetan Radulov was its first director. Its collections encompass painting, graphic art, drawing, sculpture and icons, including works by Bulgarian artists such as Georgi Gerasimov and Stoyan Vasilev. The institution also cares for historic house museums associated with Dospevski and Georgi Gerasimov. Exhibitions and the preservation of these collections connect the gallery's work with both Bulgarian art and the artistic heritage of Pazardzhik.
