The former Vienna Stock Exchange building on the Ringstrasse was completed in 1877 to designs by Theophil von Hansen and Carl Tietz. Built in the Neo-Renaissance style, it contains ceremonial interiors with marble, stucco decoration and columns. After the stock exchange moved elsewhere, rooms in the building became available for concerts, receptions, conferences and private functions. The Festsaal is among its principal event spaces.
