Bulgarian National Radio Choir

The Mixed Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio was founded in 1952. Mikhail Milkov directed the ensemble for more than four decades, establishing a repertoire of operatic, cantata and oratorio works ranging from the Baroque to contemporary music. The choir has recorded for Bulgarian National Radio's archive, Bavarian Radio, Decca and His Master's Voice. International touring has taken it to European countries and Japan, with appearances in opera productions in Lyon, Limoges, Avignon, Besançon, Nîmes and Orange. Lyubomira Alexandrova became its conductor in 2016.
