The seat of Bulgaria's government occupies a wing of the Largo, the monumental ensemble laid out at the centre of Sofia in the 1950s, with the Roman remains of Serdica surfacing in the square below it. It is an administrative building, not a concert hall. Its ceremonial rooms are nonetheless opened from time to time for short official concerts, at which orchestral musicians play to an invited audience.
