Daejeon Festival Orchestra

Assembled for specific occasions rather than maintained through a season, this Daejeon ensemble follows a pattern common across South Korea, where festival orchestras are drawn together from conservatoire players, freelance musicians and members of the region's standing orchestras. Its programmes have included Dvořák's Symphony no. 9, "From the New World".
