Europe Concert Hall – Ionel Perlea Cultural Center

The Europa concert hall belongs to the Ialomița County Council and serves as the main stage of the Ionel Perlea Cultural Centre in Slobozia, a county institution named after the conductor, who was born nearby at Ograda. Its fixed point in the calendar is the international Ionel Perlea festival and competition for conductors and singers, run every summer since 1992; the conducting competition is counted as a series of its own. The centre also keeps Perlea's memorial house, and opera galas and orchestral concerts fill the rest of the season.
