On the Bulgarian bank of the Danube, Ruse has long sustained a concert life out of proportion to its size — a philharmonic, an opera company, and the March Music Days festival that fills the city each spring. The Europe Hall belongs to the ordinary working fabric of that life: a room the city turns to for concerts, ceremonies and public gatherings, and one of several stages that keep the season moving between the larger houses. Europe Hall is one of the performance and meeting spaces within the Dohodno Zdanie cultural complex in Ruse. The March Music Days festival has presented chamber programmes there, including repertoire by Arvo Pärt, Lazar Nikolov and Claude Debussy.
