Festival Camerata

Salzburg sustains more orchestras than a city of its size normally could, most of them shaped by the festival calendar and drawing on a shared pool of players from the Mozarteum, the opera pits and the region's freelance ranks. Festival Camerata works within that arrangement — an ensemble of chamber-orchestral scale rather than a year-round subscription body, assembled for particular projects and programmes.
