High school for Arts

Plovdiv's specialist arts school teaches music, dance and the visual arts to pupils of secondary-school age, on the Bulgarian model that begins professional training early and keeps it beside ordinary schooling. Its hall belongs to that work: student recitals, examinations, end-of-year concerts. The classical staples of a young player's education — Mozart's serenades, the small string repertoire — are what it hears most often.
