Ionel Perlea Cultural Center

The Ionel Perlea Cultural Centre in Slobozia was established by the Ialomița County Council on 28 February 1994. Named after the Romanian conductor, it combines concert presentation with visual-art exhibitions, conferences and continuing cultural education. Its activities include the Ionel Perlea festival and competition devoted to song interpretation, alongside chamber and symphonic concerts. The centre adopted the UNESCO designation in 2000 and participates in the Romanian network of UNESCO associations, clubs and centres.
