History

Veliko Tarnovo was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, and the town's drama theatre keeps that inheritance within sight: staged spectacles on the Asen dynasty have been given on a stage that bears the name of the actor Konstantin Kisimov. Besides its own dramatic work the house takes concerts and large-scale productions that need a proscenium.
