History

Under this name, players based in Bucharest have taken part in touring productions and gala programmes across Europe. Romania's capital sustains a large freelance pool of orchestral musicians — a legacy of its conservatoires and of the broadcasting and opera institutions that trained them — and ensembles are drawn from it for particular projects and tours.
