Mihail Jora Concert Studio

Mihail Jora (1891–1971) wrote Romania's first ballet score and, as a founder of its broadcasting music, shaped what the country heard on the radio for decades; the concert studio of Romanian Radio in Bucharest carries his name. It is a broadcasting hall as much as a public one, built so that an orchestra can play to an audience and a microphone at once, and it houses the radio's own ensembles. Puccini arias, duets and choruses have been given from its platform.
