Municipality of Pazardzhik

Pazardzhik Municipality has run the Winter Music Evenings since 1975, a festival named after the composer Ivan Spasov that reached its fiftieth edition in 2025 and is played, admission free, in the Maestro Georgi Atanasov hall. The town keeps its own symphony orchestra, which carries much of the programme alongside Bulgarian and foreign guests; Vladigerov, Beethoven, Richard Strauss, Khachaturian and Mendelssohn are the sort of names it puts up. The municipality organises the festival with support from the Ministry of Culture.
