Bulgaria's National Culture Fund is a public funding institution based in Sofia. Established under the Protection and Development of Culture Act, it began operating in November 2000. Its remit is to support the creation, development and circulation of Bulgarian culture and art within the country and abroad. Funding is distributed through competitive programmes, alongside initiatives supported by designated donations. The fund supports projects across artistic disciplines rather than maintaining a resident performing ensemble or concert venue. The fund is the Bulgarian state's grant-making body for culture: it sits in Sofia, on ulitsa Lachezar Stanchev, and distributes money for the creation, development and circulation of Bulgarian art at home and abroad. Its money moves through named programmes — among them Digital Arts, Translations, and Creation and Dissemination for small projects — awarded by open call. In November 2021 it backed BGBravissimo – Bulgaria in Music in Plovdiv.
