RIU Pravets Resort

The resort stands beside the artificial lake at Pravets, some sixty kilometres from Sofia, and is anchored by an eighteen-hole golf course of 6,470 metres laid out by Peter Harradine and opened in 2011; it held the UniCredit European Championship for Club Professionals from 2011 to 2016. The complex also carries the town's music: the Mozart Festival Pravets, an annual late-summer event, uses the lakeside stage and the hotel rooms for its concerts and for meetings with performers, as in August 2019. The hotel has traded under the RIU name and is now run as a Hyatt Regency resort.
