Rousse Municipality

Rousse Municipality has organised the March Music Days since 1961; the festival has run without a break ever since and is the oldest of its kind in the country, filling the town's halls each spring with orchestras, chamber ensembles and soloists from abroad. The rest of Rousse's concert calendar also sits with the municipality, including one-off festive programmes assembled with foreign partners — a concert in October 2006 was put together jointly with the German embassy in Sofia.
