Rythalle Solothurn

Originally a riding hall, the Reithalle now serves Solothurn as its large flexible room — the sort of space a small baroque city on the Aare needs when its theatres prove too intimate for what is coming to town. Its bare volume suits touring work of every kind, and opera has used it repeatedly over the years: Gounod's Faust and Mozart's The Magic Flute have both been played there.
