Sinfonietta Baden

Beethoven spent his summers at Baden, taking the sulphur cure and working on the Ninth Symphony in lodgings that are now a museum, and the spa town south of Vienna has maintained an orchestral life of its own ever since. Sinfonietta Baden plays at chamber scale, in the Classical and early Romantic repertoire that the town's own history all but prescribes, and gives programmes designed for children and first-time listeners alongside its concert series.
