Stadthalle am Schloss

The Stadthalle am Schloss is a cultural and congress venue beside Schloss Johannisburg in Aschaffenburg. Completed in 1991, its steel-and-glass architecture contrasts with the neighbouring Renaissance palace. The hall accommodates a programme extending from concerts to opera, operetta and musicals, as well as official ceremonies, exhibitions and conferences. Its position beside the palace links a modern public venue with one of the principal historic sites of the city. The building serves both staged entertainment and civic functions, with programming that brings performing arts and public gatherings into the same complex.
