Stadthalle Limburg

Below the rock on which Limburg's cathedral stands above the Lahn, the Stadthalle handles what the medieval town cannot: exhibitions, congresses, balls and concerts needing a flat floor, modern access and room for staging. Touring opera galas belong to that mixed calendar, arriving with their own sets and lighting and leaving the following morning — the pattern by which most of Germany's smaller towns hear operatic voices at all.
