The Rheinhalle in Remagen was built in 1982 and opened in 1983, combining a sports and multipurpose hall with an attached stage building. Its main space can be divided into three sections and is equipped with a retractable grandstand. The venue accommodates school sports and local clubs as well as music, cabaret and cultural events. A separate foyer, suitable for audiences of up to 190, is also used for smaller musical gatherings, including New Year concerts. This arrangement permits performance activity both on the main stage and in a more intimate setting. Remagen's municipal hall was built in 1982 and opened the following year on the left bank of the Rhine. It takes up to 1,450 people, with a tribune for about 450 and a foyer for a further 190, and it belongs to the town. School sport and more than two dozen local clubs fill it by day; in the evening it works as a room for music, cabaret, exhibitions and touring concert productions.
