The Old School

Koprivshtitsa preserves more National Revival houses than almost any Bulgarian town of its size, and the Old School stands among them on the slopes of the Sredna Gora. It serves now as a modest hall for readings, book presentations and small-scale music, a few minutes' walk from the house museums that draw visitors up the valley. The town's largest musical occasion happens outdoors and elsewhere — the national folklore gathering held on the Voyvodenets meadows above the roofs.
