Alexander Atanasov

From 2016 Alexander Atanasov has appeared with State Opera Rousse, both at home in Ruse and on the company's dates in Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv and Sofia. Björn Lodin, Mehmet Kaya, Zvezdi Keremedchiev and Amalia Nenova have been among his colleagues in those programmes. Born in Sofia in 1977, he came to the Ruse stage from Bulgarian rock: vocals and guitar with Dekor from 1996 to 2007, vocals with Turbo from 2006 to 2012 and with Project Arcadia from 2007 to 2012, vocals and guitar with Kikimora from 2011 to 2018, and thereafter with Lellers, Aphasia, Eridan and, from 2020, Fellow Men. It was as Kikimora's front man that he took the title role in Nikolo Kotzev's rock opera Nostradamus, the part that placed him beside Bjoern Lodin, Mehmet Kaya, Zvezdi Keremedchiev and Amalia Nenova.
