Piano
Biography
Sinchuk left Nakhodka on Russia's Pacific coast for Vladivostok, then Moscow — the Central Music School and the Conservatory, with Nina Makarova and Valery Piasetski among his teachers — and later took an artist diploma with Daniel Pollack at the University of Southern California. First prize at the Rachmaninoff International Competition in Moscow in 2008 opened his career abroad; the gold medal at the Horowitz Competition in Kyiv followed in 2012. Born in 1988, he plays a repertoire centred on Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev, and has appeared with the Mariinsky Orchestra, the National Philharmonic of Russia and the Sofia Philharmonic. He taught at the Moscow Conservatory in 2015–2016. He completed the artist diploma with Pollack in 2014, and he has also taught piano at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
