Biography
David Castañón is an opera singer whose documented repertoire includes Don Luigino in Rossini's Il viaggio a Reims, performed in Oviedo in 2006 in Mariame Clément's production. He also appeared with David Menéndez and the Sofia Philharmonic in October 2004, in a programme recorded in the Spanish Embassy's cultural calendar for Bulgaria. Heard in Sofia on 28 October 2004, David Castanon took a solo part in the Sofia Philharmonic's programme for the seventy-fifth year of the composer Dimitar Tapkov, an evening that set Tapkov's music beside Spanish repertoire. David Menendez was the other soloist.
