Desislava Stoimenova

In 2013 and 2014 Desislava Stoimenova sang with the Sofia National Opera, in Sofia and in Plovdiv, on programmes that brought her into the company of Raina Kabaivanska, Kostadin Mechkov, Darina Linkova and Cinzia Chiarini. Her route to those evenings ran through Raina Kabaivanska's masterclasses at New Bulgarian University, with support from the Kabaivanska Fund and the America for Bulgaria Foundation, and in 2013 she reached the second round of the Elena Nicolai competition in Panagyurishte. At the 2014 masterclass gala at Sofia Opera she was heard in music from Mozart's La clemenza di Tito and Smetana's The Bartered Bride.
