Jacques Revaux

Born Jacques Revaud at Azay-sur-Cher in Touraine on 11 July 1940, Jacques Revaux began as a singer and worked in the French recording industry, as composer, producer and publisher. With Claude François he wrote Comme d'habitude in 1967, with lyrics by Gilles Thibaut; Paul Anka's English adaptation turned it into My Way. A large part of Michel Sardou's catalogue is his — La Maladie d'amour and Les Lacs du Connemara among them — and he wrote also for Johnny Hallyday and Dalida. With Régis Talar he founded the Trema label, which he used to produce as well as to publish, and whose artists included Charles Aznavour. The Grand Prix of the UNAC came to him in 2010 and the Légion d'honneur in 2025.
