Katarzyna Łaska

Katarzyna Łaska works in musical theatre, popular song, dubbing and orchestral concerts; she sings Elsa in the Polish version of Frozen. Her orchestral concert work has centred on the music Jon Lord wrote for rock musicians and symphony orchestra — the Concerto for Group and Orchestra, music from Sarabande, songs associated with Deep Purple — in programmes given in Plovdiv, Bucharest and Sofia in 2009 and 2010. She was born in Tomaszow Mazowiecki. At the Musical Theatre Roma in Warsaw she took Kim in Miss Saigon, the adult Wendy in Peter Pan and Frenchy in Grease, and she sang Maria in West Side Story at the Capitol Musical Theatre in Wroclaw. She collaborated with Jon Lord from 2008 to 2012 and sang in the studio version of the Concerto for Group and Orchestra made at Abbey Road and released in 2012; in 2013 she issued For My Love, the first single of her own project SIRLI. On 9 February 2020 she sang the Polish line of Into the Unknown at the 92nd Academy Awards, beside Idina Menzel and eight further voices of Elsa. She joined the Łódź musical theatre production of Les Misérables as Fantine in 2017.
