Nataliia Matvieieva

Donetsk trained her and the war scattered the houses she sang in. Nataliia Matvieieva studied at the Donetsk State Music Academy and was early a soloist of the Donetsk Philharmonic; engagements followed at the Donetsk National Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Kharkiv National Opera and the Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vladivostok. She now works as a guest singer and in international touring opera, among others with the Spanish organisation Concertlirica, and has appeared at festivals and on tour in South Korea and Moldova. The central mezzo roles are hers — Carmen, Dalila, Amneris, Olga, Suzuki.
