Nina Ruban

Two conservatoires shaped Nina Ruban: the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv, where she took her bachelor's degree with Gennady Kabka, and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she completed a master's in voice in 2024 with Mario Antonio Díaz Varas, held for two consecutive years on an Ernst Mach grant. She has worked privately with Nelly Miricioiu, and summer academies at the Mozarteum and the Due Mondi masterclass brought her to Francisco Araiza, János Czifra and Kai Röhrig; she has also sung at the Rame Lahaj Opera Festival. In 2023 she was among the prizewinners of the Ghena Dimitrova international competition for young opera singers, and she has reached the later rounds of the Viñas, Belvedere and Portofino competitions. Mimì, Lauretta and Fiordiligi are in her repertoire. In September 2025 she sang in Opera and the Ottoman Imagination in Salzburg.
