Rolf Bartkiewicz

Bartkiewicz took his flute diploma at the Academy of Music in Łódź, won the international flute competition at Włoszakowice and worked further in Switzerland with Peter-Lukas Graf. Back in Poland he became principal flute and soloist of the Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów; 1986 took him to the Łódź Philharmonic and to collaborations with the Łódź Radio Orchestra and the Lviv Philharmonic, and in 1992–93 he was principal flute of a national orchestra in Egypt. Radio and television recordings document a repertoire running from the classical to the contemporary. He is qualified, too, in the building, repair and tuning of pianos.
