Sorana Negrea

Piano came before voice, and then the two together at the Carmen Sylva lyceum in Ploiești: Sorana Negrea graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest in 2010, from Eleonora Enăchescu's class. Prizes at the Ionel Perlea, Paul Constantinescu and Norbert Petri competitions followed, along with coaching from Viorica Cortez, Nelly Miricioiu and Marina Krilovici. Attached to the Bucharest National Opera, she has sung both Mercédès and Carmen, Ulrica, Maddalena, Dalila, Fenena, Emilia in Otello, Larina and Filipyevna in Eugene Onegin, and the Sphinx in Enescu's Oedipe.
