Violin
Biography
Everything in Stanko Madić's training happened early: the violin at six in Belgrade with Robert Toshkov, then Dejan Mihailović; the Music Academy there at fourteen and at the head of the admissions list, with a stipend from the Karadjordjević family; a degree at seventeen as the best of his year; a master's from the Novi Sad Academy of Arts at nineteen. A second master's followed in Dresden between 2010 and 2012, with Igor Malinovsky, devoted to the soloist and concertmaster literature — which turned out to be the description of his working life. He joined the Staatskapelle Dresden in 2008, was first concertmaster of the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg between 2011 and 2018, and has led the Munich Radio Orchestra of the Bayerischer Rundfunk from the first desk since 2018; he holds the same position with the No Borders Orchestra. In 2020 he recorded Pēteris Vasks's violin concerto Distant Light with the Munich Radio Orchestra for BR-Klassik, and he has recorded Tchaikovsky and Beethoven with the RTS Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade. His instrument is a Carlo Carletti violin of 1908.
