Stela Sîrbu

Trained in Chișinău at the Gavriil Musicescu Academy of Music in the class of P. Botezatu, and afterwards with the Israeli singer and teacher Mira Zakai, Stela Sîrbu settled as a soloist of the opera at Constanța. Her repertoire is the dramatic Italian one — Madama Butterfly, Un ballo in maschera, Pagliacci, Cavalleria rusticana, Aida and Il trovatore — and it has taken her to the Romanian houses at Bucharest, Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Craiova and Galați, and on to stages in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Moldova.
