Bass
Biography
Algara, a contemporary Bulgarian score by Boyko Bogdanov that the State Opera Rousse put on stage, was part of the repertoire Stoyan Stoyandzhov sang there between 2006 and 2013, when he appeared regularly with the company — alongside Verdi's La traviata and Don Carlo, Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Gounod's Faust and Kálmán's Die Csárdásfürstin. He sang in Rousse and in Sofia on evenings that also brought the tenor Kaludi Kaludov to the cast. A bass, he has gone on the company's guest appearances and foreign tours, among them the Classic Open Air festival in Solothurn in Switzerland. He began his music studies at the age of six at the school of music in Rousse, completed the Bulgarian State Academy of Music in Sofia in 1980 and has been a soloist of the Rousse opera house since 1981. Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Cyprus and Russia are among the countries in which he has appeared as a guest.
