Vesa Tonova

Vesa Tonova, born in Vratsa, graduated from the State School of Choreography in 1989 and joined the ballet of the Sofia Opera and Ballet in the same year, dancing Juliet, Giselle, Clara, Aurora, Cinderella and Odette-Odile among its principal roles. She was distinguished at the international ballet competitions in Varna, Jackson, Osaka and Moscow. Her twenty-fifth stage anniversary was marked in March 2014 with a Giselle — the role she had wanted since she was a child watching from the school benches. She works also as a choreographer and teacher.
