Dan Brown wrote the music of Wild Symphony years before the picture book that carries it: the pieces date from the 1990s, when he was attempting a career as a composer, before the novels. The book appeared in 2020, with each animal poem attached to a short orchestral movement, recorded by the Zagreb Festival Orchestra and reachable through an app that plays the relevant track from the page. Twenty-one movements make up the set. Proceeds were directed to music education, and orchestras have since programmed it as a family concert item.
