Freddo
- Composer
- Michele dall'Ongaro
Freddo is scored for violin, cello, piano and orchestra — a concerto for piano trio rather than for a single soloist — and is held for hire by Schott. Dall'Ongaro, born in Rome on 16 November 1957, has worked as composer, radio producer and administrator in parallel; he was for years a programmer at RAI and later became president of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. His concert music tends to short, sharply characterised pieces with titles as bare as this one, and the cold of the title functions as a description of texture rather than as a programme.
