Shadowdancer

Shadowdancer belongs to the flute, harp and orchestra pieces Leitner recorded on her own albums from 2009 onwards. The title fits the pattern of her catalogue, where dance, night and elemental images recur; the writing keeps the flute continuously in the foreground and uses the orchestra as background rather than as partner. Leitner trained in Vienna and Freiburg and played in the Vienna State Opera orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic before this phase of her work. One recording exists; no score or performance details have been established.
