Zimna pesnichka

Zimna pesnichka is a children's winter song by Hristo Nedyalkov to words by Dimitar Spasov, recorded by the children's choir of Bulgarian National Radio and printed in the second-grade music textbook, which is how several generations of Bulgarian children learned it. It belongs to Nedyalkov's collection of winter and New Year songs, one part of an output written almost entirely for children's voices; he worked for decades with radio and school choirs in Sofia. The song is a fixture of December programmes and appears regularly alongside carols in Christmas matinée concerts.
