Hristofor Radanov’s symphonic picture Pogonu (Rodopi) received third prize in the Sofia Philharmonic’s 7/8 competition. The audience decided the final ranking, within a competition created to encourage new Bulgarian symphonic works shaped by the country’s traditional asymmetrical rhythms.
