Бад Бергцаберн

Bad Bergzabern combines the historic buildings of a Palatinate town with the gardens and facilities of a spa resort. Its development was shaped by the counts and dukes of Zweibrücken. The palace occupies the site of an earlier moated castle, while the Renaissance house Zum Engel and the former palace church, the Bergkirche, are distinctive features of the old town.

The Südpfalz-Therme adjoins a spa park with an open stream and Kneipp facilities. Vineyards, wooded hills and walking and cycling routes connect the town with the surrounding countryside. Cultural life has a meeting place at the Haus des Gastes, whose main hall presents a range of performances, including theatre, musicals, classical concerts and chanson evenings. The combination of historic streets, parkland and public events gives the resort a character extending beyond its thermal baths.
