Бруклин, Ню Йорк

Brooklyn's performing-arts landscape includes the Brooklyn Academy of Music, known as BAM. The institution presents adventurous artistic work and supports experimentation, inclusion and access to the arts. Its programmes and collections reflect a history that includes the Next Wave Festival, DanceAfrica and conversations with artists. The BAM Hamm Archives preserve more than 150 years of institutional activity, from nineteenth-century playbills to recordings of performances, providing material for research and education. Together with its digital collection, this record connects contemporary programming with earlier generations of theatre, dance and music, making BAM both an active presenter and a custodian of Brooklyn's performance history.
