Opened in 2011 to a design by Juan Antonio García Solera, the auditorium belongs to the provincial council of Alicante and covers 28,000 square metres beside the Paseo de Campoamor. Its symphonic hall seats 1,500 and takes a stage of 120 players and 140 choral voices; a chamber hall holds 320, with rehearsal rooms, conference rooms and exhibition space behind them. Josep Vicent has been artistic director since 2016 and conducts the resident ADDA Simfònica, whose album The Chick Corea Symphony Tribute – Ritmo was nominated for a Grammy in 2024.
