Художествена галерия Созопол

Sozopol Art Gallery was established in 1991 in the former school at the northern end of the old-town peninsula. The protected historic building contains two exhibition floors. Its collection of approximately 300 paintings, graphic works and sculptures has a strong connection with the Black Sea coast and the town's artistic life. Marine painting by Alexander Mutafov forms a distinct part of the holdings, alongside works depicting old Sozopol by artists including Yani Hrisopulos and Petar Katerkov. The collection has also developed through plein-air activity, with marine subjects represented in both painting and sculpture. The gallery is part of the municipal museum organisation.
