The Auditorio Municipal Maestro Padilla in Almeria was built in 1992 to designs by Jose Segui and is named after Jose Padilla, the composer of El Relicario and Valencia, who was born in the province. Owned and managed by the municipality, it accommodates 1,044 people in its main auditorium and includes the 110-seat Sala Cecilio Paniagua and two exhibition galleries. Its programme covers opera, orchestral and choral concerts, theatre, flamenco, classical and contemporary ballet, alongside conferences and exhibitions. The building provides Almeria with a purpose-built setting for both performing arts and civic events.
