Pravets lies in the foothills of the Balkan range north-east of Sofia, and its summer programme, the Pravets Art Nights, gives the town a short concentrated season of concerts and literary evenings. Bella Voce appears within it. Festivals of this scale are how ensembles from small Bulgarian towns meet an audience gathered from beyond their own streets.
